Our client required a re-organisation of the internal layout of this grade II listed building to improved access and flow of customers within the pub.
The building was listed as a good example of three vernacular cottages. Our proposals included investigations to discover and re-instate a former doorway to the central cottage making this the principal and accessible entrance to the pub.
Relocation of the kitchen into a new extension and reconfiguration of the W.C.s would provide new facilities including an accessible toilet, more dining space and a better customer flow.
Aesthetic improvements to the interior such as more natural daylight a new bar and new finishes would complement an increase in flexibility of internal space for functions and an increase in dining covers.
